It's all her fault...

Our potbelly pig Abbey sleeping

The ONE…

Yep, she did me in. She was the runt of the litter; literally half the size of her siblings and we weren’t sure she would make it. She never made a sound when I picked her up, but she was always the first one to run over to me when I came in. She looked healthy, was active and ate, but she was so small, we didn’t want someone to fall in love with her, only to have her pass away (that’s my story and I’m sticking to it). We named her Abbey and she moved into the house with us. She loved to eat, cuddle and sleep, especially sleep. She would climb up on my lap while I worked on my computer and tuck her head in the crook of my arm.

She had her favorite napping spots outside in the yard or on the back porch.

When she got a little bigger, we thought it would be great to walk her on a leash. That's when our search began. We started using the dog harnesses from the pet store first. They worked OK but she slipped out of them so easily and they didn't fit that well, but it wasn't until "trouble" arrived that we decided something needed to change...
